The U.S. Coast Guard brought more than 30 illegal immigrants ashore after their boat was intercepted off Boca Raton about 4 a.m. Monday, according to Coast Guard officials.
The boat was not in distress.
The boat was found 30 to 40 miles offshore and about six miles north of the Boca Raton Inlet, reported WPTV-Ch. 5.
Rescue crews removed the people from the boat for processing. They appeared to be arriving from the Bahamas.
There was no additional information late Monday.
