Reward of up to $1,000 offered in Pompano Beach man’s slaying

Broward Crime Stoppers on Thursday released a flier announcing up to a $1,000 reward for information about the slaying of a businessman in Pompano Beach.

Crime Stoppers said officials are seeking the identity or location of the person or people involved in the death of Samuel Del Brocco, 60.

His body was found by Broward sheriff’s deputies inside his home in the 1700 block of Bay Drive the evening of Sept. 12. An autopsy determined his death was a homicide.

Deputies had gone to Del Brocco’s home to check at the request of a woman who called 911 and said she hadn’t heard from him, officials said.

Detectives aren’t releasing details about how Del Brocco was killed. He was last seen having dinner at Kelly’s Landing, at 1305 SE 17th St., in Fort Lauderdale, the flier said.

Del Brocco was a part-time resident who commuted back and forth from Alexandria, Va., where he worked for PCI Communications, a communications and business strategy company.

The Sheriff’s Office asks anyone with information to call Homicide Detective Tim Duggan at 954-321-4210 or Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 954-493-TIPS (8477).
