What’s open and closed in South Florida on Columbus Day

Broward County

Closed: Federal offices, post offices, most banks, municipal offices in Cooper City, Lauderhill, North Lauderdale, Parkland, Pembroke Park, Sea Ranch Lakes, West Park and Wilton Manors. There will be no regular mail delivery.

Open: Supermarkets, malls, public schools, state and county offices, most municipal offices, county library system, stock markets.

Tri-rail and Broward County Transit will operate on regular schedules.

Palm Beach County

Closed: Boca Raton and West Palm Beach city halls and libraries, county library system, federal offices, courts, post offices, banks

Open: Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Lake Worth city halls and libraries, Wellington Village Hall, most municipal offices, state offices, public schools, stock market

No mail pickup or delivery on Monday, except for Express Mail, which will be delivered.

Palm Tran and Tri-Rail will run on a regular weekday schedule.

Garbage pickup in all areas will remain on schedule, except in the city of Boca Raton, where Monday and Tuesday pickups will be delayed by one day and in the city of West Palm Beach where there will be no pickup Monday with the exception of recycling items.

Supermarkets and malls will be open regular hours on Monday.
